Ansys CFD Webinar Series: “CFD is not Rocket Science but we can also teach you that.”
Qfinsoft is offering an Ansys Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Training course for all engineers who are interested in taking up a challenge. Attendees that attend all the days* will receive a free 30-day license to practice and perfect their skills learned in the course. (*Limited to Southern African attendees only).
Ansys CFD products simulate fluid flow behaviour and can be used to model simple flow problems to complex applications like multiphase and combustion flow problems. Ansys CFD products can be integrated with Ansys Mechanical and Ansys Electronics to provide comprehensive multi-physics solutions.
This webinar series will cover Ansys CFD simulation principles. The webinar is designed to teach you how to set-up, solve and postprocess CFD problems using Ansys SpaceClaim and Ansys Fluent and gain insight into the flow behaviour of your application.
Come learn a new skill in this webinar and see for yourself that CFD is not Rocket Science!
Prerequisites
- A technical education and background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer is recommended but not mandatory.
- An engineering degree is not required.
Session 1: Ansys SpaceClaim for CFD and Ansys Fluent Meshing
- Host: Qfinsoft Team
- Description: In this first session of three, you will learn the basic principles behind CFD. How to prepare and clean-up CAD models for CFD. This will be followed by teaching you how to easily create a high-quality computational mesh in Ansys Fluent using the new mosaic meshing technology in Ansys Fluent Meshing.
- Date: 14th May
- Time: 12pm
- Duration: 120 min
Session 2: Ansys Fluent: Pre-processing and Solving
- Host: Qfinsoft Team
- Description: In the second session, you will learn how to define your fluid simulation problem in Ansys Fluent by selecting the appropriate physics models, materials and setting of the correct boundary conditions. This will be followed by showing the steps for calculating the solution.
- Date: 21st May
- Time: 12pm
- Duration: 120 min
Session 3: Ansys Fluent: Post Processing
- Host: Qfinsoft Team
- Description: In the last session, you will learn how post-process and interpret your simulation results. You will be taught how to create vector, contour and pathline plots. You will also be shown how to create animations and extract quantitative results from the simulation.
- Date: 28st May
